Existentialism In No Exit In his play, No Exit, Jean-Paul Sartre examines basic themes of existentialism through three characters. The first subject, Garcin, embraces existentialist philosopher ideas somewhat. The second character, Inez, bets to fully understand ideas deemed existential.
